The Carsmopolitan product allows you to maintain your vehicle in showroom condition by providing for the minor exterior and interior damage caused by general wear and tear from day-to-day driving. There is no waiting period, and you have cover for 48 months. There are three options available:

Interior Cover:

Unlimited claims, limit per claim: R2 000

Exterior Cover:

Unlimited claims, limit per claim: R4 000

Inside Out Cover:

Unlimited claims, limit per claim: R2 000 (Interior) and R4 000 (Exterior)

The following are covered to be either repaired or restored (replacement only where specified):

  • Centre Console scratches, scuffs or rubber peeling
  • Door plastic kick panel and plastic panel door
  • Centre armrest
  • Front seat backboard and pockets
  • Seat panel (replacement should exact fabric not be available)
  • Steering wheel re-spray
  • Gear knobs
  • Door handle scratches or scuffs
  • Hand brake boot, restore of if torn or ripped
  • Head rest damage
  • Interior boot carpet
  • Seat stitch damage
  • Rubber carpet inserts
  • Sun visor damage
  • Windscreen and glass repair
  • Hail damage repair
  • Wheels and Alloy Rims
  • Light Scratch, Minor Dents or Chip repairs
  • Tar removal
Exclusions specifically related to Retrenchment include but are not limited to:
  • Damage as a result of; vandalism, abuse or malicious damage
  • A claim arising from racing, rallies, hiring, carrying of fare-paying passengers, carrying of explosives, driving instruction for reward, or if the vehicle is in the custody of the motor trade other than for the purpose of its overhaul, upkeep or repair, heavy commercial vehicles (Mass over 3500kg).
  • Any damage exceeding the maximum repair limit as defined.
  • Any damage resulting in the replacement of any, body panel or part thereof.
  • Any pre-existing damage, including rusting or any gradually developing cause.
Specific Requirement at Claim Stage:
  • You must obtain authorisation from PinnAfrica prior to the commencement of repairs.
  • Clear photo’s of the damaged area needs to be submitted as part of the claim process.
